OEM, Aftermarket, Garage : EQUIP AUTO Open Onto All World Markets

EQUIP AUTO Paris, to be held 15 to 20 October 2007, continues to develop its international audience. A major event in the world’s automotive industry calendar, the show is organized into two sectors: vehicle equipment (OEM and Aftermarket) and garage equipment.

For 30 years, making judicious use of the layout of the Paris-Nord Exhibition Center (200,000m2 of exhibition area on a single continuous level), the organizers of EQUIP AUTO have been developing the concept of an interactive show (from design to maintenance) open onto all equipment markets (OEM, Aftermarket and Garage).

New fast-growing markets

For many leading vehicle equipment manufacturers, who are both OE and aftermarket suppliers, there is here the opportunity for a complete strategic deployment toward all visitor targets. With the globalization of the automotive industry and with those involved in new fast-growing markets not necessarily having adopted our sectoring strategy, our traditional markers, our distribution structures and, even less so, our European regulations, this is a particularly pertinent concept.

One visitor out of three... international

The organization of space, open and interactive, has earned EQUIP AUTO very strong growth in its audience around the world. International exhibitors have risen from 60% in 2001 to 75% in 2005. At the same time, international visitors, who already accounted for 20%, have increased to 30.1%. In 2007 one visitor out of three will be an international visitor... This will not stop EQUIP AUTO, naturally, remaining the ideal platform for access to the French market.

Global sourcing and B2B meetings

EQUIP AUTO’s opening onto global sourcing is all that more acknowledged, thanks to an extremely concentrated program of conferences, the show has been rallying all those involved in original equipment for 20 years. Since 1989 each Global Forum has brought together the market’s leading decision makers (the 2005 Equip Auto Global Forum was chaired by Carlos Ghosn). During the forum, vehicle manufacturers and suppliers analyze changes and trends in the automotive world, what is at stake strategically and what possible optimizations there are to better work together.

In 2007 EQUIP AUTO will be further strengthening its international reception operations and developing an especially rich events package (global forum, technological talks, B2B meetings). Events intended for all those involved in original equipment: international technical, purchasing, research and quality management, for all engineers and prime contractors! Through this program EQUIP AUTO increases business opportunities between buyers and suppliers, between vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1, 2 and + equipment suppliers.

International Grands Prix for Automotive Innovation

More than ever at the heart of the show’s “Destination Innovation” theme, the EQUIP AUTO ‘Grands Prix’ for Automotive Innovation will be awarded by an international jury of 80 journalists from 25 countries.
The Trophy awards ceremony will take place during the grand exhibitor reception, to be held the evening of Monday 15 October 2007, in the presence of several hundred representatives of the international press and senior executives from the leading global equipment manufacturers.
