EQUIP AUTO 2007, which took place 15-20 October at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, recorded 104,137 visitors and reinforced its worldwide audience with a remarkable level of international attendance (32% of foreign visitors). EQUIP AUTO also mobilized 2,070 exhibitors, including 80% international exhibitors. The organizers, while very pleased with this international success, lamented, however, a significantly lower number of national visitors, penalized by the paralysis of public transport which, for three of the six days of the show, made travel throughout the entire country extremely laborious.

O salão EQUIP AUTO 2007 realizado de 15 a 20 de outubro em Paris-Nord Villepinte registrou 104.137 visitantes confirmando sua audiência mundial com uma taxa de freqüência internacional de 32%. EQUIP AUTO também mobilizou 2070 expositores, dos quais 80% internacionais. Armand BATTEUX, Presidente do EQUIP AUTO, ressalta a presença internacional no evento, mas lamenta, no entanto a diminuição no número dos visitantes nacionais devido à greve dos transportes públicos ocorrida durante 3 dos 6 dias da mostra, e que tornou complicado o deslocamento ao local.

Van 15 tot en met 20 oktober 2007 bezochten 104.137 specialisten de automotive vakbeurs EQUIP AUTO. Het aantal internationale bezoekers is gestegen naar 32%. Onder de 2.070 exposanten was maar liefst 80% afkomstig uit het buitenland (tegen 2.042 exposanten en 78% internationaal in 2005). Het nationale bezoekersaantal kende dit jaar een daling, tengevolge van een staking van het Franse openbaar vervoer.

The XIIth International “Grands Prix” Awards for Automotive Innovation were given out during an enthusiastic ceremony on the evening of Monday 15 October, attended by many automotive world and media personalities and to which were invited the 2,200 exhibitors at EQUIP AUTO, taking place at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center until 20 October.

EQUIP AUTO 2007, which will be welcoming 2,140 exhibitors from 15 to 20 October 2007 (up 5% vs. 2005), looks more likely than ever to be an event which is close to its visitors. New features, innovation and surprises will create closer links than ever before with professionals. For example, visitors will be able to check out the Dakar Bivouac with its desert sand and Berber tents, plus several games and competitions, not to mention the Innovation Circuit, all waiting for them in Hall 1.

EQUIP AUTO Algeria, which was held from 2 to 5 April 2007 at the SAFEX exhibition park in Algiers, under the auspices of the Algerian Ministry of Transport, brought together aftermarket professionals (working in distribution and maintenance), with their suppliers, importers and equipment manufacturers. This year, the show was attended by 4,680 professional visitors, up 13% compared with 2006. After its first edition showing strong potential, EQUIP AUTO Algeria is now consolidating its status as North African leader in spare parts and garage supplies.

EQUIP AUTO Moscow will be taking place over four days at Crocus Expo in the Russian capital, from 27 February to 1 March 2008. Setting up in Russia reflects EQUIP AUTO’s international aims of both spreading out and increasing its fame on a world scale.

With 110 days to go before the exhibition opens its doors on 15 October, EQUIP AUTO 2007 can already confirm massive interest from French and international exhibitors for this 18th session: 93% of the available exhibition space has already been booked by some 2,000 companies. This high take-up – higher than in 2005 – suggests that the exhibition is set to meet its targets: from 15 to 20 October, 2,140 exhibitors – including 75% international exhibitors – will welcome more than 140,000 visitors.

EQUIP AUTO is at the forefront of globalisation: for the show’s 18th session more than 75% of the exhibitors will be international – an increase of more than 5% compared with the previous session. EQUIP AUTO – the key B2B meeting place for all the automotive equipment markets (OEM and parts) – will also be welcoming 45,000 international visitors out of an overall total of 140,000 attendees. This session will feature three major highlights: more countries than ever represented by international pavilions, the OEM Meetings, and a programme of events around the “guest of honour” initiative.

The international jury of the International “Grands Prix” Awards for Automotive Innovation has announced the 24 candidates (8 per category) shortlisted for the Grands Prix. The winners ( 2 per category) will be awarded on the occasion of the official “Grands Prix ceremony” to be held next October during the show.

Almejando a presença de 2.140 expositores, ou seja, um crescimento de 5% em relação à 2005, EQUIP AUTO 2007 confirma sua ambição de líder mundial do setor. Uma ambição que os primeiros dados de reservas já comprovam. Por exemplo, no setor de Equipamentos para oficinas, 84% dos expositores esperados já confirmaram presença no final de março com um crescimento de 15% em relação a mesma época em 2005.

The 2005 EQUIP AUTO Show, which brought together the entire automotive equipment sector at Paris-Nord Villepinte 13-18 October, recorded a 4.9% rise in attendance (137,566 visitors, 30.1% from abroad). These results confirm not only the remarkable development of the international audience but also EQUIP AUTO’s exceptional appeal, mobilizing 2,042 exhibitors this year, 78% of them from abroad (72% in 2003).
